Authorized
Testing, Inc.
currently
provides Inspection services to many high-pressure cylinder manufacturers
whose product range from Toroid Pressure Vessels for missile guidance systems
to large multi-component cylinders for natural gas and hydrogen vehicle use.
We also provide Cylinder
Re-qualification Facility Inspection under the authority of the U.S.
Department of Transportation Approvals Branch and Transport Canada, and have
provided Cylinder Qualification Inspections to the U.S. Federal Aviation
Administration and US military installations around the world.
Authorized Testing, Inc. has
experience in the inspection and testing of many types of pressure
vessels. These types include: Seamless Extruded and Drawn Aluminum
Seamless steel, Billet Pierced, Extruded tube and sheet drawn Welded and
seamless Stainless Steel, Inconel, Titanium Alloy Full composite wrap
with glass, aramid, or hybrid fibers Full composite and hoop wrap with carbon
or glass fibers High pressure and ultra high-pressure components for
military/aerospace applications and private industry
The U.S. Department of Transportation, Transport Canada, and
the Health and Safety Executive (UK), currently recognizes Authorized Testing,
Inc. as an Independent Inspection Authority.
Additional provisional
approvals have been granted by many other entities to allow us
to inspect and test various composite pressure vessels for import into those
countries:
Authorized
Testing, Inc.
has two test lab facilities in southern California.
The main office facility is staffed by 5 full time technicians and is equipped
to perform Qualification and production testing as required by the various
cylinder specifications. These test include Hydraulic and Hydrostatic Pressure
Testing, Environmental Exposure Testing, High and Low Temperature Cycling,
Ambient Cycle Testing, and Thermal Cycle Testing.
The Riverside facility is
also capable of performing Mechanical properties Testing of all types of
metals as well as carbon and fiberglass strand testing and short beam shear
composite testing.
Our
other test facility is located in a remote area of the California high
dessert. This 100-acre test sight is used exclusively for all types of
destructive testing such as bonfire and gunfire testing of compressed gas
cylinders. The ATI test technicians who perform these potentially dangerous
tests have many years of experience in this type
of testing and are fully HAZMAT trained and qualified. Listed below are some

other specifications and customer requirements are also performed.
We also provide consultation on pressure vessel design as well
as specification interpretation for all applications. ATI has assisted
many clients in obtaining Exemptions to DOT Hazardous Materials Regulations to
allow the use of new materials and pressure vessel designs.
Our
Corporate goal is to provide the highest level of independent inspection and
testing services available to our clients and to promote the continued safe
use of pressure vessels and components.
